The Safe and Independent Lives Group is a Sub Group of the Health and Wellbeing Board with a focus on two broad areas of work; ‘Frailty and Isolation’ initiatives and ‘Safe and Independent Lives’. The group contribute towards activities which will help more people be able to manage their own health and wellbeing and mean more people in Hull live safe and independently in the community. The initial focus of the Group is on vulnerable groups, particularly (but not limited to) the frail elderly. However, the emphasis may change as the work plan progresses.
The group also form a ‘Provider Forum’ and give an oversight of agreed delivery of the following partnership areas of work:
- Better Care Fund
- Extra Care Board
- Adults Safeguarding Board
- Learning Disability Partnership Board
- End of Life Group
